Let’s rewrite the rules of banking together!

• Leading technical excellence in Data Services domain, consisting of data infrastructure, data management and reporting areas; your input will be visible in the entire Mambu organisation and will serve hundreds of banks and financial institutions as well as millions of users worldwide;
• Establish practices around design workshops and architecture decisioning which enable engineers to work autonomously and develop new initiatives, while applying high quality principles consistently;
• Define improvement themes for specific components in accordance with the Product Strategy and engage with Product Managers, Engineering Managers and Engineers to align on the execution plan, proactively gathering feedback and metrics;
• Establish yourself as an influencer and technical authority, coaching engineers on architectural thinking and advanced engineering practices, representing Mambu at technical events and conferences and providing proactive technical leadership;
• This is an on-hands position. We don't expect that you will touch code on a daily basis, but be prepared to get your hands dirty;
• You will report directly to the Senior Engineering Manager in the Data Services area.

• Significant hands-on engineering experience, including as a contributor to any Open Source project and work in product-led SaaS company or scale-up environment;
• Cloud knowledge: AWS, GCP, Azure;
• Proficiency in database technologies such as SQL, NoSQL, and data warehousing platforms;
• Experience with big data technologies such as Kafka;
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment;
• Understanding of data security, privacy, and compliance requirements;
• Similar level roles in Data area;
• Expertise in modern product management techniques, including product planning, product discovery and development.

Your first 3 months in Mambu will look like this:

• Onboarding and Immersion. Getting to know teams and Staff Engineers in your area; onboarding to the product and operations; meeting and getting to know your peers Principal Engineers, directors; gaining knowledge about Mambu’s products and services, short term and long term challenges;
• Domain exploration: collecting knowledge and artefacts from Data Services area; understanding key initiatives, projects and operational challenges; getting to know your engineering teams; reviewing existing processes;
• Strategy formulation: synthesising findings from the domain exploration phase; identifying key objectives and aligning with stakeholders; defining the cross-organisational implementation roadmap alongside your teams and peers.

The base salary for this position is €9.200 gross (before taxes) monthly. This is a full-time equivalent target rate for Lithuania only. Actual rate offered will vary depending on the nature of the role and the breadth of skills and expertise the candidate brings to the role relative to existing Mambuvians.
