What you’ll do

As Senior Director, People Experience you will be part of the People Leadership Team (PLT) and lead our People Operations and Technology teams to shape and enhance the overall employee experience within Mambu, and drive excellence in the service we deliver to Mambuvians. 

 

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Leadership:

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive people experience strategy aligned with the company's vision, values, and business goals
  • Bring perspectives and influence to shape the overall people strategy for the next 12-24 months with the PLT
  • Provide leadership, guidance and mentoring to the team and high collaboration with stakeholders, both within the team and across the business
  • Support the SVP, People in taking the lead on strategic people projects and providing expert input on key initiatives

HR Operations:

  • Oversee HR operations, ensuring compliance with legal requirements and alignment with best practices, identifying areas for improvement
  • Develop and monitor HR metrics to assess the effectiveness of people programs and initiatives
  • Embed an approach of continuous improvement and putting diversity, equality and inclusion at the heart of what we do
  • Work with the Sr. Manager, People Operations to define a roadmap to standardise and build on existing policies and processes
  • Monitor spend against the People Team budget and own our Purchase Order and Invoicing processes across the team

Employee Relations:

  • Ensure that we serve as a trusted advisor to employees and managers on people-related matters through a consistent approach
  • Standardise our ER handling approach, defining roles and responsibilities and escalation measures. Develop a Mambu-wide approach and drive the build-out of existing ER policies and procedures
  • Ensure consistent application of company policies and procedures
  • Work with our People Partners to define roadmaps for restructuring projects

Technology:

  • Drive the evolution of our People Technology ecosystem with a focus on self-service, automation and data-driven decision making
  • Ensure appropriate representation and prioritisation of people technology needs with our Mambu Business Applications team
  • Lead our Technology space with a balance of innovation and affordability

Projects:

  • Lead People Team project activities, ensuring on-time and as-planned delivery
  • Ensure appropriate allocation of resources, wider stakeholder engagement and removal of roadblocks through influencing senior stakeholders across the business
  • Drive cross-team collaboration to optimise insights, learnings, project efficiency and reduce the number of touchpoints with the business on people projects
  • Work closely with the SVP, People as the People Team execution lead of company-wide or strategic projects with a people impact, which may be highly confidential in nature

What you’ll bring

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field. A Master's degree is preferred
  • A minimum of 10 years of experience in HR, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role focused on employee experience and with a proven track record of inspiring a team and fostering collaboration
  • Strong knowledge of HR best practices, labour laws, and compliance requirements
  • Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with a high level of emotional intelligence and discretion
  • Ability to think strategically and execute tactically with strong analytical skills and experience with HR metrics and data analysis
  • Experience in a fast-paced, dynamic environment is a must, ideally within a high-growth and/or SaaS business
  • M&A transaction and integration experience would be a strong advantage
