About the team

Join our Infrastructure Services team and play a pivotal role in redefining our engineering platform for the next level of scale and efficiency. We are tackling ambitious, business-critical goals to modernize our services by removing legacy solutions and moving to the latest and greatest engineering setup. You'll be driving a fundamental shift towards a fully automated, test-driven, Infrastructure-as-Code environment to enable daily, incident-free deployments. Your expertise will directly impact our company's profitability and ability to innovate, creating a secure, cost-effective, and highly reliable platform for Mambu's future.

• Collaborate with Product and Engineering leaders to identify technology opportunities and risks, set overall strategic direction, and guide the company through platform modernisation and ongoing operations.
• Develop and maintain enterprise architecture frameworks and investment roadmaps aligned with organizational goals.
• Establish and enforce enterprise-wide standards, processes, and best practices for architecture and coding.
• Measure and drive adoption of architectural principles and standards, providing visibility into the health of the technology portfolio.
• Mentor and guide Infrastructure Services teams to ensure consistent quality, innovation, and alignment with organizational objectives.
• Oversee the design, implementation, and performance of a scalable, reliable and secure cloud platform.
• Ensure technology solutions align with organizational standards and objectives.
• Implement and achieve continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) practices, ensuring visibility and predictability around engineering processes.
• Drive engineering excellence to deliver scalable, on-time solutions that meet customer requirements while managing technical debt.
• Manage architecture budgets, unit cost of solutions, and vendor relationships, optimizing multi-cloud costs and resource utilization.
• Provide regular updates to senior leadership on platform modernisation progress, risks, and corrective actions.
• Stay current with industry trends to integrate emerging technologies and ensure the organization continuously upskills to maintain a competitive edge.
• Define and execute the AI strategy, leading cross-functional teams to deliver scalable, impactful solutions while driving organizational change and ensuring ethical, secure adoption.

• 12+ years of elite experience in running mission critical cloud infrastructure, combining strategic vision with hands-on execution.
• Proven technical leader with technical depth, track record of delivering value, decision-making, and a collaborative approach.
• Experience in providing technical leadership in engineering teams. Hands-on leadership style, actively supporting the team when needed (e.g., code reviews).
• Proven expertise in AI strategy, machine learning, and deploying scalable, ethical AI solutions aligned with business goals.
• Skilled in implementing enterprise-wide technology standards, managing cloud budgets, and optimizing resources.
• Up-to-date on industry trends and best practices in scalable architectures and modern technologies.
• Strong experience with cloud computing platforms (AWS is must, GCP, Azure is bonus)
• Extensive experience in containerization, including Docker and Kubernetes, for scalable application deployment.
• Experience in successfully migrating hundreds of mission critical customer environments.
• Expertise in observability practices, leveraging tools for monitoring, logging, and tracing (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana).
• Strong skills in deployment automation and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using tools like CloudFormation, Terraform.
• Proven experience in DevOps and DevSecOps methodologies, implementing CI/CD pipelines with tools such as GitLab.
• Strong understanding of security concepts and technologies.
