About the team:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Security Analyst to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of security principles, technologies, and best practices. You will be responsible for alert handling and improving quality of alerts received, improving visibility into our threat landscape and implementing proactive security measures to protect our organization's assets. This role requires a strong analytical mindset, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with various teams.
Alert Handling: Investigate and respond to alerts, improve detection capabilities and collaborate with stakeholders to resolve issues
Threat Hunting & Analysis: Proactively hunt for threats and indicators of compromise (IOCs) across our network and systems. Analyze security events, logs, and alerts to identify malicious activity.
Collaborate with our MSSP: Work with our third party MSSP to handle and resolve escalated alerts
On-Call Rotation: Willingness to work in an on-call rotation.
Security Architecture & Engineering: Collaborate with IT and development teams to design and implement secure systems. Provide security guidance on new projects and technologies.
Security Tools & Technologies: Administer and optimize security tools such as SIEM, EDR and cloud security platforms.
Reporting & Communication: Create detailed reports on security incidents, vulnerabilities, and overall security posture. Communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
3-5 years of experience in a security-focused role, with at least 2 years in a senior position.
Proven experience with incident response, threat analysis and alert handling
Strong knowledge of security frameworks and standards (e.g., MITRE ATT&CK, NIST, OWASP).
Hands-on experience with security tools such as SIEM (e.g. SumoLogic, Splunk), EDR (e.g., CrowdStrike)
Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and critical thinking skills.
Strong communication and collaboration abilities.
