About the team

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Security Analyst to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of security principles, technologies, and best practices. You will be responsible for leading security incident response, improving visibility into our threat landscape and implementing proactive security measures to protect our organization's assets. This role requires a strong analytical mindset, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with various teams.

• Security Event and Alert Handling: Monitor, analyze, and respond to security events and alerts, continuously tuning detection rules and thresholds to improve accuracy and reduce false positives.
• Playbook Design and Implementation: Design, develop, and implement security response playbooks to ensure consistent, efficient, and effective handling of security incidents.
• Incident Response: Lead and manage security incidents from detection to resolution. This includes triage, analysis, containment, eradication, and recovery.
• Threat Hunting & Analysis: Proactively hunt for threats and indicators of compromise (IOCs) across our network and systems. Analyze security events, logs, and alerts to identify malicious activity.
• Scripting for Automations: Comfortable with writing and implementing scripts for automating recurring tasks
• Security Tools & Technologies: Administer and optimize security tools such as SIEM and EDR 
• Reporting & Communication: Create detailed reports on security incidents, vulnerabilities, and overall security posture. Communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 5-7 years of experience in a Security Operations Center, with at least 2 years in a senior position.
• Proven experience with incident response, threat analysis and alert handling
• Strong knowledge of security frameworks and standards (e.g., MITRE ATT&CK, NIST, OWASP).
• Hands-on experience with security tools such as SIEM (e.g. SumoLogic, Splunk), EDR (e.g., CrowdStrike)
• Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., Python) for automation and analysis.
• Experience with Forensic investigations and evidence handling procedure is highly desirable.
• Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and critical thinking skills.
• Ability to handle and deliver under pressure.
• Proven ability to convey complex information in a clear, concise manner to diverse audiences across all levels of the organization.
