About the team

The Disaster Recovery Platform team ensures that Mambu’s most critical platforms and systems can be reliably and rapidly restored in the event of any planned or unplanned disruptions. To achieve this, our team designs, develops, and maintains automated, extensible multi-cloud disaster recovery solutions at scale. We are a team of highly skilled platform engineers who treat infrastructure as code and focus on solving complex failover challenges through automation, innovation, and continuous improvement.

• Inspiring Leadership & Culture: Be the catalyst for creating a positive atmosphere and demonstrate role model leadership to shape the culture of the team. 
• People Growth: Grow people in their technical expertise and career path, supporting learning opportunities for each engineer (training, certifications, mentoring, etc.) and focusing on growing a high-performing team.
• Customer-Centric DR Strategy: Guide the team in designing, evolving, and maintaining Mambu’s DR framework and multi-cloud solutions. Ensure these solutions operate flawlessly at scale to protect Mambu customers' business-critical platforms and align with broader business goals.
• Automation & Efficiency: Champion a culture of automation, continually seeking opportunities to eliminate toil and enable the team for automation over repetitive work, thereby increasing efficiency and reducing manual work. 
• Cross Functional Collaboration: Build strong partnerships with Platform, Capability, and broader engineering teams to seamlessly integrate DR solutions and drive platform improvements.

We are looking for a unique blend of deep operational expertise and proven leadership ability, specifically in the public cloud domain.

Leadership & People Management:

• People Leadership: Strong people management skills, ability to understand individual ambitions and align them to organizational needs, offering constant guidance and feedback. 
• Team Building: Proven ability in establishing ways of working and internal team processes and ceremonies from the ground up.
• Stakeholder & Customer Focus: Demonstrated excellence in stakeholder management and customer management, effectively aligning priorities and communicating complex topics to both technical and non-technical audiences.

Operational & Technical Domain:

• Cloud Platform Systems’ Fluency: Strong architectural understanding of major public cloud providers, cloud-native applications, and distributed systems.
• Experience in High Criticality Environments: Proven experience working on high-scale, business-critical platforms, ideally within the fintech/banking sector.
• Execution & Communication: Strong organizational and problem-solving skills, with a track record of driving complex cross-functional initiatives.
• Automation & Optimization (ideally AI powered solutions): Strong track record and proven experience of service optimisation and automation, improving performance and ensuring resilience within the provided services. 
• Solid hands-on background in platform engineering and operations at scale. 
• Excellent written and verbal technical and personal communication skills in English.

• The base salary for this position is from €6000 gross (before taxes) monthly.
