Join our Finance Team at our Amsterdam head office, where you will play a key role in delivering high-quality financial reporting and strengthening the company’s reporting framework, controls, and technical accounting capability across Mambu’s global operations.

In this role, you will be responsible for the preparation, analysis, and coordination of statutory and group reporting, acting as a subject-matter expert on financial reporting standards and disclosures. You will work closely with Accounting, FP&A, Tax, Revenue and external auditors to ensure accurate, timely, and transparent financial information for internal and external stakeholders.

You will be an individual contributor, working closely within a small team, and will report directly to the Director of Accounting and Financial Reporting.

What you’ll do

  • Prepare and review financial reporting in accordance with IFRS, coordinating the preparation of statutory financial statements, including related notes and disclosures.
  • Own and coordinate key elements of the reporting cycle to ensure accuracy, completeness, and timely delivery.
  • Ensure accurate and consistent application of IFRS across the group (including IFRS 15, IFRS 3, IFRS 9, IFRS 16, IAS 12, IAS 36).
  • Lead the analysis of complex accounting matters and prepare well-documented technical accounting position papers for management and auditors.
  • Act as a key contact for external auditors during interim and year-end audits, including preparation and coordination of audit deliverables.
  • Provide technical IFRS guidance to accounting and business teams to ensure consistent application of accounting policies.
  • Support group consolidation and reporting processes, including intercompany reconciliation and eliminations.
  • Collaborate closely with Accounting and FP&A to ensure alignment between reported results, forecasts, and management reporting.
  • Identify and implement improvements in reporting processes, documentation, and controls to enhance efficiency, scalability, and audit readiness.
  • Support development and maintenance of group accounting policies and reporting standards.
  • Support ad-hoc reporting requests from senior management and other stakeholders.

What you’ll bring

  • Eagerness to make a difference and take ownership of financial reporting quality.
  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in finance, accounting, or a related field.
  • Professional qualification such as ACCA is a strong plus.
  • 5+ years of progressive professional experience in financial reporting, accounting, or audit.
  • Big4 experience is a strong plus and well suited for someone transitioning into an in-house reporting role.
  • Strong technical IFRS knowledge with hands-on experience interpreting standards and applying them in practice.
  • Proven experience preparing accounting position papers and technical memos.
  • Experience working with external auditors and managing audit deliverables.
  • Experience with group reporting, consolidations, and statutory reporting.
  • Proficiency with ERP systems (NetSuite preferred), Excel, and G-Suite.
  • Ability to work independently, prioritise deadlines, and manage multiple reporting streams.
  • Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail, while maintaining a good understanding of the bigger picture.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, for interaction with auditors and internal stakeholders.
  • Experience in fintech and/or SaaS environments is considered a plus.
